Diesel Conversion, is it worth it? Well, its been awhile since my last post. This one should seem like a walk in the park for some of you wrench turners. I have a 92 Ranger w/2.3L 4cyl gas. I have acquired a 2.3L 4/cyl Isuzu Diesel w/5sp transmission. I am getting 20+ mpg with what I have.

On the 1.9 TDI torque is boosted to 239 lb ft, 1 lb ft more than the factory 4.0 engine with the Malone 1.5 tune package. With the 2.0 TDI the Malone 1.5 tune package gives 283 lb ft of torque, about 100 lb ft higher than the stock 3.0, plenty of low-end grunt for towing!
