Burgundy Red is a variety from the arendsii hybrids group with 30-50 cm tall stems with spikes of deep burgundy red flowers. Leaves are dark green with burgundy stalks. Grow astilbe in humus-rich soil. If planted in boggy or regularly watered bed they can sit in full sun, otherwise choose a semi-shaded or shaded location.
