The adeptus arbites have always been an integral part of the 40k universe, and after seeing their new models last year I knew they were too nice to pass up. Promptly I got a squad of them plus some extra bikes. Given that I'm a Judge Dredd fan, I painted them in his iconic red-black-green scheme, like their predecessors from the 90s.

Movie Judge Dredd is Lawsexual. It seems to be the only thing he cares about and all the weird ways he pronounces it can be seen as Affectionate Nicknames. We do know what Judge Dredd looks like. We have never seen HIS face, but we have seen Fargo's! In an early story (prog 377), five judge clones are hijacked on their way to Texas City.

Hi there! Back to 40K again. Today I'm bringing you a compilation of pics showing how I begun to build up a force of Arbitrators. For all those non-warhammerers, Arbitrators are just the Judge Dredd concept taken into 40K. Law enforcers who deliver judgement upon criminals and heretics Imperiumwide. You know, hard stuff for the dark millenium.

Warhammer 40k Kill Team meets Judge Dredd Arbites

[deleted] • genteel_wherewithal • • Edited Ah, the fact that they mention a squad name/squad leader elsewhere in the Ark of Omen notes suggests that it probably will be a kill team rather than a single mini that's part of an inquisitorial band.

The Adeptus Arbites are heavily, heavily inspired/based on the judges. A bog-standard arbites is pretty much identical to the bog-standard judge. I'd imagine this is a tossup in all rounds. 4 [deleted] • 4 yr. ago I would say, Adeptus Arbites are judges amped up to 11. The dudes have power suits for humans.

Arbites Bikers would be great as well, they had Rapid Pursuit Teams back in Citadel Journal 29 Adeptus Arbites army list of 3rd Edition, and they could also take Bikes back in 2nd Edition (both Codex: Army Lists and White Dwarf 169 army lists). And maybe plastic Arbites Judge mini. Inq54's Arbites Judge mini was cool.

However, when I dug them out of the cave they have languished in for decades, I discovered they were waaaay to small to go with the rest of the models..

To Judge Dredd: The Adeptus Arbites are the Imperium's police, with big guns, eagles and ginormous shoulder pads. Also, the Ciaphas Cain novels reference a holodrama called Arbiter Foreboding, with the title character being known for carrying a big gun. Void shields were clearly picked up from the Apocalypse War storyline.

The Adeptus Arbites are the police force of the Adeptus Terra, devoted to enforcing Imperial law throughout the entire Imperium. Utterly dedicated and without mercy, the Arbites are feared throughout the galaxy, for they are the agents of a harsh law, where failure and incompetence are crimes, and the only punishment is death.

The Adeptus Arbites are clashing with the forces of the Drukhari in the heart of the Gallowdark. Soulshackle // Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. I thought 40K's Judge Dredd-esque jackbooted thugs were cool back when they came out for the first Necromunda, and I think GW did a great job making the new ones cool as well..

16 Dismal_Ability_520 • 9 mo. ago Ok cool after just looking a little way down the rabbit hole, I figured it couldn't just be coincidence, and I did look up the dates, that it predates 40k. Just seems funny that it seems so heavily lifted but then GW is not shy about getting litigious when anyone steps on their toes 0 FatBus • 9 mo. ago
