Definitely one of my favorite cookies to make and to eat! Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Sift flour into creamed butter and sugar mixture until crumbly. Dough will not come together on its own. Using your hands, roll dough into 1-inch rounds. Make an imprint with your thumb and place on baking sheet.
