Kinda, but not really. What happens is that this is bitterman straight out of the player model seen in quake2. Quake 3 used it for "grunt" and made bitterman this odd green dude. We're using the player "models" from their origin game, rather than the reinterpretations of quake 3.

By that logic, Quake III Arena would have Sarge be the same person as Bitterman and Ranger (if you can even say Quake III has a main character), and Quake 4 would have Matthew Kane be the same person as Sarge, Bitterman, and Ranger.
