Place a large metal skillet on medium heat with 2 tablespoon of avocado oil. Add the onions along with a pinch of salt and 1-2 teaspoon of brown sugar. Let cook on medium-low for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring every 2-5 minutes. Add 1-2 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar halfway through for depth of flavour.

On a floured pizza peel, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch (30-cm) round. If the dough springs back, let it rest for about 10 minutes before continuing. Leaving a 1-inch (2.5-cm) border, spread the fig jam over the dough round and top with the cheese. Cover the pizza with the prosciutto.

Instructions. Preheat oven to 425°F or as specified on your dough. In a medium saucepan on medium low, add 2 tablespoons olive oil & onion. Allow to caramelize while preparing the pizza. Pre-heat the oven to 450F degrees for at least 15 minutes before starting. Let the pizza dough sit out for 15-30 minutes as well. On a lightly floured cutting board, divide the pizza dough in half, and with your hands and a rolling pin, gently stretch it into a thin round, 10-12 " inch circle.

Spread a thin coating of fig jam over the dough until lightly but fully covered. Leave a 1.5-inch crust around the exterior. The back of a spoon works best. Do this 30 minutes prior to cooking the pizza. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a medium skillet. Add the shallots, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until very soft and browned, approx 8-10 minutes. Stir in the garlic and the thyme cook for 30 more seconds then remove from heat.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until you reach your desired size. Be careful not to roll too thin. Stretch pizza dough and parbake dough with garlic sauce on it for 7 minutes at 450 degrees F. Place one dough ball onto floured parchment and press or roll into a 12 inch circle. Spread a thin layer of garlic cream sauce all over dough, about ½ cup, leaving a thin border for the crust. Next, add little spoonfuls of jam all over white sauce, about ¼ cup. Cover pizza with a layer of mozzarella and fontina, about a cup of each.

Spread the fig jam all over it, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edge. Sprinkle with the mozarella cheese, scatter the prosciutto across the top and finish with the crumbled goat cheese. Place the pizza on the pizza stone (I keep it on the silicone mat or parchment paper) and cook for 7-9 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and browning on top.

Instructions. Preheat oven to 425F. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan liberally with oil or butter. ( see note) Pour olive oil into a small dish and add the minced garlic. Set aside. Press dough into pan evenly, up to the edges. Brush pizza dough generously with garlic oil.

4. Then, rip small pieces of mozzarella cheese from the ball and scatter on the pizza. Add white cheddar cheese on the pizza, too. Then top with crispy prosciutto. Sprinkle half of the parmesan on top of the prosciutto. Step 5. 5. Add 2 tablespoons of the fig balsamic glaze to the pizza (again in a circular fashion).

Stir balsamic vinegar and honey together in a small saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a boil, and then reduce heat to low. Keep checking the sauce, and stir every few minutes. Simmer until the vinegar mixture has reduced to ⅓ cup, or the sauce can coat the back of a spoon, about 20 minutes.
