Van Helmond naar Ghana In tegenstelling tot Indonesië had men in Ghana wel interesse in de stof. Het verhaal wil dat dit komt door Ghanese soldaten die de stof als cadeau uit Nederland meenamen terug naar Ghana. De Nederlandse stoffen werden daar goed ontvangen en Vlisco is zich op die markt gaan richten. Ghana was destijds een Britse kolonie.
