The latest fairly took control during the 17th century. It was abandoned in 1732 and its stones used as building material for a new residence.

The return route along the shore offers an alternative view of Duntulm Castle. Rubha Hunish walk starts at Shulista which is 24miles from Portree. There is space for about 8 cars in the carpark.
