La basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato è un luogo di culto cattolico di Genova, situato in piazza della Nunziata, nel quartiere di Prè. È una delle chiese più rappresentative dell' arte genovese del tardo manierismo e, soprattutto, del barocco del primo Seicento.

Storia Si ipotizza che il nome Vastato (da guastum o vastinium, cioè demolizione) indicasse i guasti, le aree prive di alberi o altro riparo per eventuali attaccanti subito al di fuori delle mura cittadine, dove andavano ad esercitarsi i balestrieri genovesi.
