About. Buscot Park is the home of the Henderson family and the present Lord Faringdon with his eldest son James and his wife Lucinda. They look after the property on behalf of the National Trust as well as the family collection of pictures, furniture, ceramics and objects d'art, known as the Faringdon Collection, which is displayed in the house.

It was built by Terry Cook, who lives and works at Buscot Park as head of Security and overall Maintenance. In a sheltered hollow below the main house, behind the old stable block and conveniently near the car parking and toilet areas, lies the "Four Seasons" walled garden. Its 18ft high walls shelter flowering plants all year round.

The Park wasn't open until the afternoon, so we also visited Buscot village to occupy our time. The jewel was Buscot Park and house. Even late in season the walled garden was colourful and well planted. We would like to come back in several seasons.. the house and gardens are still managed by the Faringdon family, and it shows!
