Engine: For boost, use NGK BKR7E Spark Plugs Proper coil packs (not mazda factory items) - we use only LS2 GM coils as they are fantastic bang for buck. Run a proper modern injector, not used OEM ones from 10 years ago and not chinese injectors - we like Deutschwerks or the FlowForce injectors.

NB is a better Miata. Everything about the NB from the purchase price to the mods will be cheaper. It's also lighter/smaller. Could be advantageous. NC has more power out of the box. And is a more comfortable cruiser- something you might want to consider depending on how much off-track driving you intend to do in it.

Because the weight of an NA/NB Miata is not equally distributed left to right with a driver onboard, the actual pinch weld heights may not be level after corner weighting.. usually the OEM 11 or 12mm rear bar or sometimes nothing. For track cars, we like a 14mm rear bar. We have yet to find a car or environment that needs more than a 14mm.

A bone stock but perfectly maintained NA6 with A/C will run 230° clt at a steady 70mph on a 100° day. Use full throttle a lot or add a bit of power and you're at 245°. Head gasket lets go at around 255°.
