Il suo nome deriva dall'espressione caput Seralcadi poiché si colloca nella parte più a nord dell'antico quartiere Seralcadio.Questa denominazione potrebbe tuttavia derivare dall'omonima altura, sulla quale trovava collocazione la chiesa di S. Anna, visibile da ogni parte del quartiere.

We did two different markets on our travel here in Palermo. We visited Mercato del Capo and Market Ballero. If we had to chose one over the other we would recommend Mercato de Capo. Both had similar products and atmosphere. Expect to find many tourist and locals shopping for fresh produce, veggies, juices and some street food available.
