Description. At 220 meters in height, Donau City Tower I (commonly referred to as DC Tower) is one of the tallest buildings in Europe, adding a distinctive high-tech accent to the Vienna skyline. It is the first in a pair of skyscrapers designed by celebrated French architect Dominique Perrault for Donau City, a new city within a city taking.

Donau City, or Danube City, began to rise 20 years ago on the river's northern banks with buildings by Pritzker Prize-winning local architect Hans Hollein, among others.
