(NS 5075 6766) The original Town Hall of Renfrew was built in 1670. It was originally used as a jail, with keeper's house and small hall, and continued to be used as such until 1839. A new wing was added in 1826, allowing the provision of a Town Hall on the upper floor with the Council Chambers on the ground floor.
