Dating a Yamaha FG300? Hi, I've just acquired a Yamaha FG300 & I'd really appreciate some help working out how old it might be. The chap who sold it to me thought it was 1969ish, but he wasn't the original owner & my suspicion is that it's probably younger than that. The top has been patched near the pickguard. Pickguard is a replacement. The top in is coming up a little bit behind the bridge but the bridge in not.
