Henderson Streamliner Henderson was one of the major motorcycle brands in the early part of the 20th Century. Unfortunately, like many others, they could not survive the Great Depression and ceased production in 1931. Before they did, however, a handful of Model KJ Streamline motorcycles were produced.

The Model KJ Streamline was designed by chief engineer Arthur Constantine, who had been hired by Schwinn away from Harley-Davidson in 1928. When it was released, it boasted of 57 new features added, although the basic engine design was still the proven inline four-cylinder that the Henderson Company had been using on its previous models since 1912.

When Henderson was shut down, the Streamline (also known as the KJ) was their base model. The KJ was the brainchild of Arthur Constantine, a Chief Engineer who had been stolen away from H-D in 1928. His redesign led to the all-new Streamline in 1929, with improved cooling and a redesigned engine that yielded 40 horsepower.
