Adriaen Pietersz. van de Venne (Delft, ca. 1587/1589 - Den Haag, 12 november 1662) was een Nederlands kunstschilder, grisailleschilder, miniatuurschilder, graveur, tekenaar, dichter en uitgever behorend tot de Hollandse School. Hij was leerling van Jeronymus van Diest (I) en Simon de Valck.

He was a founding member of Confrerie Pictura, a group bent on improving the independent status and social position of the artist in Dutch society by encouraging a more academic approach to the arts. Biography A prolific and inventive painter, draftsman, and poet, Adriaen Pietersz van de Venne was born in Delft in 1589. His parents had fled from Protestant persecution in the Southern (Spanish) Netherlands during the 1580s. Van de Venne was educated in Leiden, where he became part of the vibrant political and intellectual community around the University.
