Wyatt's Cafeterias were still going strong in the 70's, tho not at. the top of their mark as they were during the 50's and 60's. Alas they went straight down hill in the 80's into the dumper. Interesting, when I was a child in the 1940's , growing up in Dallas, I. remember Wyatt's supermarkets.

Jim - When I was attending U of H in the early 1970's, I remember eating at Leo's Mexican restaurant on Shepherd which was close to Alabama and I thought it was in an old house. Leo's relocated in early 1990's close to Washington, then closed after Leo passed away.

The Strawberry Patch was one of the most popular restaurants serving traditional American food to hit Houston during the 1970s.
